Hot off the heels of an audacious declaration of love for PSVR2 earlier this year, Kluge Interactive has announced its next free update to Synth Riders.
With this latest update, dubbed Level UP!, Synth Riders is adding a major suite of features to the long-supported title.
As the name suggests, the new update includes a levelling system, and it's integrated with a much more elaborate stat-tracking page for each intrepid player. In addition to the personal performance page, there will be a progress display for your level, as well as a comparison of levels and milestones with other players and friends.
This is a most welcome addition; if there was one area that Synth Riders was lacking in, it's stat tracking.
Included within the new progression system, the game will also feature a more guided experience for new players, offering the option for newcomers to dip their toes in rather than dive headfirst into the deep end.
While the update was supposed to be live now, there seems to have been a delay of some sort. In all likelihood, though, by the time you're reading this, the free update will have pushed through.
Are you excited about this new suite of features? Ready to go out and level your player up? Let us know in the comments below.

Just got a PSVR2 a few months ago and Synth Riders is by far my daughter's favorite game. Glad to see it's still being supported.
It's good to see an article about PSVR2 without the fake doom and gloom, a step in the right direction for Push Square. 👍
Now you need to follow up with articles about 32-player cross-play Battlefield style game Forefront, Little Nightmares: Altered Echoes, Aces Of Thunder, Blade & Sorcery, The Boys: Trigger Warning, Iron Guard Salvation, Unmourned, Automa, Legendary Tales Castlevania style update and much more.
Synth Riders adds a new update on the PSVR 2? This is obviously a no contest neon sign that the headset is dead, done and dusted, stick a fork in it cause... oh wait Push Square is saying something neutral about it with zero spin?
